Elche Ilicitano now have a date for their return to work. The Franjiverde reserve team will begin their 2026/207 pre-season on Monday, 20 July, opening a new stage under Carlos Cuéllar, who is heading into his second season in charge after renewing his contract until 2028.
The coach and his staff will start preparing for a new campaign in Segund Federación with the first training sessions, involving players who remain part of the reserve-team setup as well as several footballers from the Juvenil squad, who will have the opportunity to prove themselves during the summer preparations.
The opening days will focus on regaining rhythm after the break, carrying out the usual physical assessments and beginning work on the pitch. The team will alternate training sessions between the Ciudad Deportiva and the Emilio Esteban football pitch, where Cuéllar will start laying the competitive foundations for the new project.
Ilicitano will continue their preparations over the coming weeks with several friendly matches before the start of the league campaign, scheduled for the first weekend of September against CF Lorca Deportiva.
