As Aston Villa manager, Steven Gerrard's return to Anfield was one of the most iconic moments in English football. More than six years after his farewell to the Liverpool fans, Gerrard returned to the mythical stadium.
The former 'Red Captain' has gone from the Rangers bench to that of Aston Villa. Carlos Cuéllar made the same club change in 2008, and in a 'Marca' report, gave his point of view on Gerrard's return to Anfield and his emerging career as a coach.
"His teams are a reflection of what he was as a player: vertical, intense and aggressive," said Cuéllar, who, in a few words, explained what Steven means to Liverpool fans: "At Anfield, his name could be heard more than Klopp's."
