As part of a historic Osasuna, Carlos lived in Pamplona some of the best moments in his career. One of them was the qualification for the Copa del Rey final in the 2004/05 season. On 12 May 2005 Osasuna drew 0-0 at the Calderón and edged Atlético out of the competition. In the first leg Atlético lost 1-0 in Pamplona.
Cuéllar remembered that moment on Twitter, as the 'Diario de Navarra' mentions it in an article that pays tribute to that big success. The victim was a team in which, amongst others, were playing Leo Franco, Perea, Ibagaza or Fernando Torres.
