Aston Villa gave themselves a strong chance of reaching the Europa League group stage after a 1-1 draw in their play-off first leg with Rapid Vienna.
A weakened Villa side got off to the perfect start in Austria when lively winger Marc Albrighton crossed for Barry Bannan to tap in from four yards.
But Rapid quickly improved and they levelled when the superb Steffen Hofman centred for Atdhe Nuhiu to glance in.
