Aston Villa and Swansea shared a goalless draw in a match overshadowed by the death of Gary Speed. The Wales manager was found dead on Sunday morning. The pre-match minute of silence at the Liberty Stadium turned into rapturous applause for Speed.
Swansea started brightly, but they failed to turn domination into chances. In the second half, the villains were close to score and deserved the three points, but Michel Vorm made two fine saves. Carlos Cuéllar was on the bench.
Now Aston Villa players are looking for the next Premier League match, against Manchester United in Villa Park (next Saturday).
