Carlos Cuéllar is set to begin a new chapter in his coaching career. The Madrid-born manager has been officially announced as the new head coach of Elche Ilicitano for the 2025/2026 season. The reserve team will compete in Segunda Federación, and Cuéllar’s appointment reflects the club’s commitment to a coaching profile that aligns with the methodology of the first team, led by Eder Sarabia.
After two seasons of growth and hard work at the helm of Real Murcia Imperial, Cuéllar takes a step forward in his coaching career. Elche CF highlighted his professional profile, dedication to youth development, and experience both in academy football and at the elite level — key qualities to lead the club’s second team.
“This new challenge really motivates me. I’m grateful to Elche for their trust, and I’ll repay it with hard work, humility, and ambition,” Cuéllar said upon joining the club’s sporting structure.
A team, a project, a purpose
Cuéllar will be joined by Jaime Agraz as assistant coach — a coach with deep knowledge of Elche CF’s youth system and academy structure. Together, they will work to strengthen the connection between Elche Ilicitano and the first team, and to unlock the full potential of the club’s emerging talent with a clear and demanding methodology.
