Albrighton, in his second league start of the season, opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and, just six minutes later, Petrov picked up the ball 30 yards from goal and tried his luck from range; his shot nestled into the bottom corner. The villains deserved this 0-2.
In the second half, Klasnic scored from six yards out, but Bolton were still poor at the back and Bent had the chance to score the third goal for Villa. Albrighton too in the stoppage time. Carlos Cuéllar wasn't avaiable for the match.
"It is credit to their mental toughness, and hopefully that is improving after capitulating at a couple of other away venues", said Alex McLeish, Aston Villa's manager.
