Carlos Cuéllar played the full 90 minutes of the Sunderland final pre-season game ahead of the 2013-14 campaign and was pleased to see the team secure the victory over the high-flying over Danish side Midtjylland.
But the spanish defender is really happy because he knows The Black Cats have a fantastic support every match. Following Sunderland’s final pre-season game of the season Carlos Cuéllar heaped praise on supporters.
Over 200 of the red and white army made the trip to Hong Kong to watch Sunderland in the Barclays Asia Tournament. Around about the same amount of fans made the midweek trip to see Sunderland in Denmark. “The supporters are fantastic”, Cuéllar safc.com.
“Every week they follow the club around the country and they have done the same during pre-season. They came out on Wednesday, in the middle of a working week, to back the team. I’d like to say a big thank you for their support, it’s very much appreciated. I’m glad that we could get a win for them”.
