Four second-half Swansea goals saw Sunderland’s trip to South Wales end in defeat. A quiet first period ended goalless in Gus Poyet’s first game in charge, but the hosts didn’t look back after they took the lead 12 minutes into the second half when Angel Rangel’s header found the net off Phil Bardsley.
Jonathan de Guzman made it 2-0 just a minute later before Wilfried Bony converted a 64th-minute penalty.
Chico Flores added a header - deflected in off Steven Fletcher - 10 minutes from time for the Swans, who picked up their first home league win of the campaign.
