Sunderland were denied a return trip to Wembley as three second-half goals saw Hull to victory at the KC Stadium in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with Budweiser. A fine first-half penalty save from Oscar Ustari ensured the game was goalless at the break, but the Tigers found a way through 22 minutes from time via Curtis Davies' header from a set piece.
David Meyler and Matty Fryatt added further goals as Hull secured their place in the final four of the competition.
