Sunderland suffered a heavy defeat against a direct rival for the salvation as Norwich. Gustavo Poyet's men lost 2-0 in his visit to Carrow Road, where there wasn't Carlos Cuellar to stay out of the squad.
After a grey first half, Sunderland failed to react to the goals of the local team mission even more complicated when the Spanish Marcos Alonso was sent off after two yellow cards.
Snodgrass and Tettey were the authors of the goals in the first part of the game and in the second half but Sunderland had any chance to close the gap, Borini and Brown were not successful in the last meters.
