Carlos Cuéllar has commited to Norwich City until the end of season. He will fight for promotion to the Premier League. The english team becomes the seventh club of the Spanish footballer of 32 years old, who ended his contract with Sunderland this summer.
"I'm very happy and excited. It is a new challenge in my career, a new team, and it was exactly what I was looking for. They count with great supporters and I can't wait to play my first match. I feel phisically well and very motivated", said Cuéllar.
The Spanish defender has been playing in England since 2008, when he signed for Aston Villa after a great season with Glasgow Rangers, where he was awarded with the Scottish Premier League best player title. He adds up 154 official games in England and 219 in the whole of UK.
Norwich, a team that was relegated last season from the Premier League, has started the Championship with force, winning two of their three first matches. Founded in 1902, 'The Canaries' have been 24 seasons on the maximum category, apart from winning the League Cup twice. An average of 22.000 fans have visited Carrow Road this season.
