Carlos Cúellar, at around age 34, is close to live a new experience in his career. Is never too late in the world of football to find oneself in exceptional situations, like the possibility of promoting to the Premier through a play-off. In all his years as a professional, Carlos has never experienced how it feels to promote to another category.
Norwich defender, despite the limited role that has had this season, maintains the illusion of participating in a top challenge. The Norfolk club will start the promotion play-off tomorrow. The rival makes the play-off even more interesting. Ipswich Town, the biggest rival of East Anglia, is the hurdle to overcome in a play-off that starts on Saturday at 12:15 GMT (13.15 CET) and the second leg on 16 May, again at lunchtime.
The first leg will take place at Portman Road, Ipswich home ground, leaving the outcome of the play-off for the second leg at Carrow Road, the Canaries ground. A big stadium (27 000 spectators) that will be crowded to support a team that finished the league in third position. For Norwich, the possibility to beat Ipswich is a two-fold motivation: to qualify for the final (where they will play the winner of the other play-off, Middlesbrough vs Brentford) and to beat their bitter rivals in Suffolk county.
