Carlos Cuéllar has been presented as a UD Almería player. The Spaniard who passed the medical last Tuesday and is already training with his new team mates, returns to Spain full of hope.
"We are one of the favorites sides to fight for promotion a priori, and that was why I decided to join this proyect. I return to Spain and to be honest I´m really looking forward to it. I know the category and I think I can help with my experience after years playing in Europe. I believe I can bring that knowledge to help us not conceding a goal and win games", said Carlos at the presentation, held in the Patio de Luces at Almería´s Council. Also in the act, the player was accompanied by the club´s president, Alfonso García and the president of the Council Gabriel Amat.
Cuéllar has had a good start in his new team: "I felt one more from the first day. It´s a familiar changing room". After a long-eight years career in the UK, which led him to Glasgow Rangers, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Norwich, Carlos is ready for this new challenge: "I've been training alone, now I will start an intensive plan and the idea is to get back in form for the start of the season".
