Almería lost 1-0 at the Anxo Carro, in a game that the Andalucian team could not find the way to level Carlos Hernández goal. Carlos Cuéllar, for the third game in a row, was in the line-up. No other player in the team has started in the three last matches. Carlos, with physical pain, left his place on the pitch to Jorge Morcillo. During the first 45 minutes, the madrid born centre-back made couple with Fran Vélez, and played with confidence in defensive actions as well as playing the ball.
In the first half, Sergi´s side controlled the game, although Lugo´s pressure minutes before the end of the first half, hinted at a more complicated second half. With Carlos out of the pitch, Almería conceded the 1-0 and unlike last match against Osasuna, could not over come the result. This way Luis Milla´s team confirms its top form, in its start to the season, with a great victory.
Almería´s next challenge will be against Alavés. The Andalucian team will host the team from Vitoria. There will be three important points at stake to keep up with the teams in the top of the table. The key to this, is to strengthen the defense. A mission in which Carlos Cuéllar, more and more settled in the team, must play an important role.
