Carlos Cuéllar's Maccabi Petah Tikva debuted in the league with a draw against Beitar Jerusalem at the HaMoshava Stadium (2-2). The Madrid born centre-back played his first minutes with Maccabi. Cuéllar came in in the 60 minute to give more strength to the local team.
The game was not easy for Maccabi Petah Tikva. Beitar Jerusalem finished last season in third position. The local team took the lead twice in the first half but Maccabi fought back and levelled the game before the break 2-2, that would be the final result.
Carlos Cuéllar started his new challenge in the 60 minute. A long career in which he has played in six different leagues. Now his first target is to make himself a place in the team and convince his coach Kobi Refua.
