Carlos Cuéllar´s Maccabi Petah Tikva earned a second consecutive victory after winning Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-0 at the HaMoshava Stadium. A win that put them with seven points in the table after three matches. Maccabi remains unbeaten and the arrival of the centre-back has translated on the pitch into good results.
Cuéllar, who debuted in the first game of the league, has started the last two games for the Petah Tikva´s team. He has played 90 minutes in total and has contributed in both matches to maintain unbeaten the team's goal. On Monday´s clash, the Spanish defender cleared a dangerous action of the visitors in the first half . Later on will arrived the 1-0 that eased the game.
Both goals were scored by Gidi Kanuk. Maccabi´s seven points place them in third position, with the same points as Hapoel Be’er Sheva, current champion, and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
