Carlos Cuéllar's Maccabi Petah Tikva obtained a narrow win against Hapoel Ashkelon (0-1) and secures the third place on the table with 42 points. The Madrid born centre-back and his teammates return to winning ways after last Monday's defeat. They won in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Young Leroy. Unlike other matches Maccabi took advantage of the minutes to get a win that leaves them a good taste.
Carlos played the complete match with the usual solvency. The way that has made him to become one of the best defenders of the Israeli Premier League.
The next Maccabi Petah Tikva challenge will be on Sunday 26 February. They will host Hapoel Haifa, a team of mid-table.
