Kiryat Shmona suffered a big blow after losing to Maccabi Haifa 4-0 in the 22 gameweek of the Israeli Premier. Cuéllar, who played his 50 game in the Israeli league, was in the starting XI and played the full 90 minutes, although this time, Hapoel Ironi's defense didn't play as usual. The game was levelled until the 72 minute, when Kehat made the 1-0. Soon after, in the 78 minute, Brossou's red card complicated even more the situation. In the last minutes Kiryat Shmona conceded three more goals (two from Mizrachi and another one from Sallalich).
This defeat comes days after Hapoel Ironi obtained a favourable result in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Israeli Cup, against Be'er Sheva. The second leg will be played on the 28 February. Before that, Carlos and his teammates should get back on track in the league. Their next game will be next Sunday against Hapoel Ashkelon.
