Perfect end to the regular season. Kiryat Shmona swept aside Hapoel Akko (0-3) in the gameweek 26 of the Premier League. Carlos Cuéllar, once more, wore the captain's armband although this time did not play the 90 minutes. He was replaced in the 76 minute with the game already decided. Having four yellow cards and a Cup's game on the horizon there was no need of taking any risk. While on the pitch, the centre-back helped to achieve another clean sheet.
Weissman (32 min) and Hasselbaink (p. 36 min) hit the rivals within minutes. Besides, Hapoel Akko played the second half with one man less (Reichert). Gozlan, in stoppage time, made the third for Hapoel Ironi.
The 3-0 means the biggest result away for Kiryat Shmona this season (in the Premier). Cuéllar's team has finished the regular season in eighth position and will play the teams between 7th and 14th position to decide which two teams will lose the category. The points obtained in the league will count, so Hapoel Ironi will be able to focus in the Cup semi-finals against Beitar Jerusalem on the 1st April.
