Maccabi Petah Tikva are already in the quarter-finals of the Israel State Cup. Despite the fact that they were unable to call upon Carlos Cuéllar, they defeated Hapoel Tel Aviv away from home (0-2) and booked their place among the best eight sides in the competition. The first half ended goalless, but, after the break, goals from Mihai Roman (minute 49, penalty) and Guy Melamed (minute 76) decided the match.
Three days after the well-earned draw against Hapoel Be'er Sheva (a match in which Carlos shone due to his courage and commitment), Maccabi Petah Tikva tasted victory once again. Cuéllar and his team-mates do not make distinctions between the competitions. They want to go as far as possible on every front.
