Maccabi Petah Tikva saw the game slipped away in the last minutes

After the international break, Maccabi Petah Tikva returned to the domestic competition with a defeat. In the second game of the play-offs, Carlos Cuéllar's team lost to Bnei Sakhnin 1-0 in a game that was decided in the last gasp. Maccabi had enough chances to have obtained other result but finished the game with an unexpected result. Cuéllar comeback to the lineup fully recover and played the 90 minutes.

Luckily, Beitar Jerusalem, their main rival for the third place, also lost their match, so Carlos and his teammates maintain their advantage. A situation that put them closer to the Europa League (the third place gives access to the competition). Next challenge for Maccabi Petah Tikva is on 9 April against Hapoel Be'er Sheva (current champion).
